Three years ago today I was fighting to survive in an ICU unit with family at my side. Asking if my son was alive I was told "he doing much better than you are right now" and I drifted back to sleep. I couldnt leave the ICU, so I didnt get to hold him, but they gave me a monitor to watch him in the NICU and I could see his daddy/siblings be with him.
