I was in the Air Force in the early 1980’s, and was an enlisted administrative assistant to Dr Shepler, then Colonel Shepler. He was so attentive to his patients, all while teaching residents rotating through his very busy practice. 30 years later, I was completing clinical rotations of my own with an orthopedic surgeon as first assist during my nurse practitioner training. I was an orthopedic nurse prior to that. Grateful to have started by observing and working for Dr Shepler. Best wishes! (Colette Tisue)
Dr. Shepler performed a carpal tunnel release on me in 2006 and i was so very impressed with all of the time he spent with me. Not only is my scar hardly visible, he took care to make sure i had all of the information i needed, and was very caring and gentle in his manipulation and examinations. I have not had occasion to see him again, but i am highly recommending him to anyone who has a hand problem. You will not get better treatment anywhere.
