The Best Flan I've Ever Had – That's it, just had to mention the flan. The best flan I've ever had. Ever.
REAL Mexican food – Real Mexican food served by people who know about it and care about it. You simply cannot go wrong. This ain't typical Tex-Mex though I love that too. This is fresh ingredients prepared correctly. The Flan is absolutely killer. One of the best deserts in Austin.
Delicious! – We've looked all over for well marinated fajitas, combined with fresh tortillas. I almost fell to my knees in gratitude when I had Manuels' chicken fajitas. Incredible! Husband enjoyed the Verde Chicken Enchiladas. Also had brunch here, was enjoyable. Didn't like the Watermelon margarita much though...tasted more like a watermelon rind then juice, and the black beans tend to come out a little cold.
Bueno! – Wow, talk about your wonderful surprises. Manuel's was a last-minute "what the heck" choice for my wife's birthday. Both meals were outstanding -- so used to Mexican food being "OK" or "passable". The margaritas were strong and delicious and the flan was easily the best we have ever had. It was almost like a cheesecake. Dine during happy hour for cheaper drinks. Until something remarkable can sway me, this is my vote for best Mexican in Austin. Highly recommended.
Romantic, great food – I took my girlfriend (JLR) here for a special day out. We were both impressed with the food and atmoshere. Prices are alittle high but the food was worth it..
