Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in Utah, this restaurant uses the freshest ingredients and original sauces to present a deliciously unique and varied menu. Dinner choices include Mongolian pork, spicy cashew chicken, beef with fresh asparagus and Hunan-braised eggplant. From the zesty orange-sesame shrimp or Szechwan chicken wing appetizers, to the apple spring rolls with cinnamon ice cream dessert, everything on the menu is flavorful and delicious. Beer and wine are available.

Citysearch Editorial Review – You'll find a crowd waiting for tables almost every night of the week. Fringed lanterns and detailed paneling on the walls create an authentic feel. White tablecloths and colorful plates add to the atmosphere. Service is friendly and efficient, even with a packed house. Gregory Skedros and family opened this restaurant in 1978 and have imported chefs from Hong Kong and San Francisco to create the expansive menu and house specials. Classics prepared in Mandarin and Szechuan styles. You'll find th... read more
Amusement Park Lines meet Fine Dining – Great, unique chinese food. The only downside is that they treat all their guests like cattle. Not taking reservations results in 1-2 hour waits for a table. It would be nice if they weren't quite so greedy and took reservations.
Best Food in the Universe – Sorry, I love PF Changs, but not even close. Best Chinese i have ever had, and I have had a lot. Only negative on the whole place is waiting in line for up to 3 hours. Pay a visit, you won't be sorry!!!
Best Chinese in SLC – I don't know who posted the most recent reviews, and I wouldn't put much stock in the pizza delivery guy's angry vent against the Mandarin owners. Whatever the case, try your luck searching for better Chinese in Salt Lake City, and you won't find it. The menu offers more than your chain-style restaurants, the ambience is nice, and the food is fabulous. More authentic than most, and I eat Chinese in Pittsburgh, Houston, and Southern California regularly.
SoSO – Too greasy and Americanized--PF Chang's is a million times superior! The Mandarin is not by any means in the top "10".
out of 10 I give it a 50 – This is by far the best restaurant to eat at. I have waited as long as 2 1/2 hours, and always feel that it is well worth the wait! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, anywhere, anytime!
One of the BEST! – You do have to stand in line if you don't arrive early, but it is well worth the wait. They are great at getting you seated asap even with the crowds they get. The food is wonderful, the service is great. I recommend to all my friends and take my guests there all the time.
My All Time Favorite! – This is my family's all time favorite restaraunt in Utah. Go early and order your dessert at the beggining of the meal before they are out of your favorites. The creme brulee is excellent!
Great American Chinease – Always fresh and always good. American definately, but what do you expect.
