Worst service I have ever had anywhere – July 4, 2010, I had the worst experience ever in a restaurant anywhere. My wife and I were hungry and saw the Mandarin Palace among a few other restaurants all on the same side of the street. We looked at the menus posted on their doors and decide to try the Mandarin. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in, and I immediately second guessed myself about our choice. The waitress seemed friendly and, when we ordered the asparagus chicken soup, she nodded and said: "That is goo... read more

best place in the city – You have to try this place out. The food was delicious!! This place is easily my favorite spot. Ever since i been coming here i have no bad comments except for the time i had to wait longer than usual because they were busy, but the wait was worth it. My recommendation is the fried dumplings, beef ho fun, gen tso, Thai curry shrimp, and Malaysian fried rice. these are just my usual orders but I'm sure there are better selections. There price was also reasonable compared to the surrounding restaurants... read more

Sanitation issue - and they laughed! – I ordered a dinner combination special from this place, and got soup along with it. So as I lifted the spoon to my mouth, I saw an insect! A huge c*ckroach! I called up the driver immediately, and he forwarded me to the manager. When I spoke about the issue, she put me on hold for 10 minutes and I could hear her conversing to her peers, all the while there was laughter in the background! She told me many people think scallions look like c*ckroaches. Why would there be a scallion in simp... read more

Chinese Food Mandarin Palace is a good center city restaurant to get your Chinese food fix. I have never visited the restaurant but do order delivery every week. They have great chicken in garlic sauce. The serving size are more than enough and always end up with left overs. Delivery time is average for the area and prices are competitive too.

went here for lunch today and my first impression was a little weird cause the place has slightly overdone decor (paper lanterns everywhere) and i think they need to air the place out a little and let some light in. but the food was surprisingly good. we had lunch specials chicken in garlic sauce and general's chicken (sauteed not fried), with brown rice and egg roll. it was all very good and better than all the other chinese places i've been to within a 4 block radius.
