My husband had his gall bladder out by Dr Rekkas. He and the nursing staff were very professional and caring. Any surgery is scary but everything went smooth beginning to end.
I didn't have to wait long and got prompt treatment. However, no one asked me to consent to treatment or told me how much everything was going to cost until after they'd already x-rayed me, done an ekg, and pumped morphine into me. When signing for consent I was given an electronic signing pad and told what I was signing for - I was never shown any documents to read. And all signatures were obtained while I was under the influence. Not sure that's kosher.
Nurses were just ok, some not so good at all, one even created a panic.

They were very kind to Danielle & tried to get appts set up For our family, so our treatments ,could continue. Thanks to the nice ER staff. (10/11/16)
Wouldn't take a dying dog to this hospital. Although they'd probably give the dog better treatment. WORST HOSPITAL. SHOULD BE SHUT DONE! ABSOLUTELY horrible nursing staff in the ER staff, Doctor with no Bed side manor. Can't wait until our insurance company follows up. So I can complain not only to them but to Human Resources also.. The labor and delivery department is a fantastic area to be in if you're at Manatee Memorial most of the nurses were extremely nice and we're there for you if you needed them especially the overnight staff!!!!
Everyone that help me before and after my procedure was extremely kind and caring until I was discharged. Thanks to every that helped me
The lady that put me into the computer was extremely rude. Left still in pain. For a hospital it seemed to be not the cleanest nor the dirtiest I've encountered.
