Very nice restaurant Beautiful place and the only true restaurant owned by Italians. The last of a great generation. They may be pricey but all the food is cooked authentically.
not impressed AT ALL! I expected expensive. What I didn't expect was crappy service & tasteless food. We saw our waiter maybe every 20 minutes. He never offered us any drinks so we were stuck drinking water the whole time. When he did come to our table he left so fast we couldn't ask for anything. It took an hour to sit down & we had reservations. The restaurant's "regulars" had the same reservations, but managed to get seated before us. Pricey But Good There are only a few nice restaurants in Bakersfield and Mama Tosca is one of them. They have been around for several years and have perfected the Italian cuisine. The entrees are expensive, so be prepared.
TOO Pricey I've been here once and I'm never going back again. The food was okay but the prices were ridiculously high. The service was terrible and when we asked questions the server didn't really know what he was talking about.
Expensive Mama Tosca's food is okay but the prices are WAY too high for what you get. If I recall correctly, you don't even get free refills on your sodas and they don't tell you that when they ask you if you want a refill. I would not eat there again.
Great food and atmosphere Mama Toscas is an upscale italian restaurant perfect for a special date or anniversary. The food is top notch as well as the service. It is a little on the expensive side but fun for a special time.
