RecommendedMy experience was great. The service was impeccable, and the decor was stylish yet vintage with SOUL MUSIC in the background. The food was great and seasoned well. Great place for a family to gather and eat! And it’s open till 10! Will definitely be back again and again😍
OMG I don't know where to start. The location is perfect, the hostess was delightful the server was an angel the food is so delicious if I could I would have kissed the cook. the place is beautiful , clean just a joy to go and have a wonderful meal......I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THE RESTAURANT ITS WONDERFUL AND AMAZING
Server Camila is awesome, efficient, happy and a joy. Please tip the servers directly otherwise they may not receive it. Yes it’s a buffet but the servers work hard and deserve good tips for their service.
Food was amazing!!! Definitely worth the 1hr drive
Had a great experience at Mama Shielas for my first time dining there. Everything I ate was delicious and home made. Food was always warm and they had plenty of selections of your favorite soul food. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for soul food in the Twin Cities area.
The food was great! However, the pricing needs work. The thing I didn't like was that you can't order meals to go. You have to make your to go boxes from the buffett and they weigh it. Well soul food is heavy! 8.95 per pound. I got 3 to go meals ans it was over 65$!! The only complaint I have, is they need to have a better to go menu/plan because weighing it at almost 9$ per pound is ridiculous, considering not everyone wants to dine in. I checked the restaurant out today I really like the set up and loved the music selections. I didn’t know it was buffet only, I don’t do buffets; however, there was no one to greet me so I sat down and asked for a menu that’s when I learned that wasn’t an option. Also the food was okay nothing bad about it just nothing really stood out. I did notice there were no desserts out and I wasn’t informed that they had desserts until I overheard someone ask and then I asked. Not sure why desserts are not apart of the buffet. Been wanting to check the place out since I heard about it a few weeks ago! And must I say I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was very flavorful and delicious. The Hostess and waitress were very sweet, friendly and attentive. The ambience was very warm and inviting. I will definitely be back and recommend it to anybody that wants great food cooked with love! We left with full bellies and smiles. We’ve been waiting for a place like this in the Twin Cities!
