What used to be an old pineapple cannery is now Mala, the epitome of global organic fusion cuisine. It's not as complicated as it sounds. Chef Mark Ellman has his concepts straight: keep everything fresh, quantities adequate, use organic ingredients as much as possible and use no hydrogenated oils or preservatives. Amazing start to finish with an incredible island view . Staff terrific- desert put us over the edge.
A great progressive seafood and other local dishes. Oyster shooters unique to start. Never a bad selection but difficult to save room for their great deserts.

We celebrated pur 15 year wedding anniversary at Marla and the experience did not disappoint. We started with 2 signature dishes- oyster shooters and the Ahi bruschetta- so delicious!! Then I had the Asian pasta- so full of seafood. My husband had the seared ahi- also fantastic. We split the butterscotch pot de creme for dessert- a sweet ending. Service was impeccable- I highly recommend Marla Ocean Tavern.
