What used to be an old pineapple cannery is now Mala, the epitome of global organic fusion cuisine. It's not as complicated as it sounds. Chef Mark Ellman has his concepts straight: keep everything fresh, quantities adequate, use organic ingredients as much as possible and use no hydrogenated oils or preservatives. One of the best meals of my life. The Asian seafood pasta was stunning.
The food is fabulous and so is the service. I had the clam chowder which I love and my husband and granddaughter had the whole fish which was fantastic. We all had the ahi bruschetta for an appetizer which we have to have when we go there. There were 7 of us and everyone was super happy.

This is a must go to restaurant. First is the location,right on the water and if you’re not careful you might get splashed. Sea turtles swim right next to you along this shoreline. The food is amazing. Very up scale menu at great prices.
The word Tavern is misleading. Thought I was walking into a local bar. What I found was an astounding restaurant and bar. The wine list is awesome and features many Sonoma County wines. #sonomastrong
