Specialties Bringing Broadway-caliber musical theater performances to Mid Coast Maine. History Established in 1959. In 1959, Victoria Crandall founded the Brunswick Summer Playhouse as a commercial venture in order to present and preserve the best of musical theatre. In 1967, the name was changed to the Brunswick Music Theatre. In 1978, BMT became a not-for-profit theatre. In 1988, the organization officially became Maine State Music Theatre.

Always Patsy Cline was phenomenal. MSMT is my favorite venue when we are in Maine. All the shows are great
A fantastic show! Christine Mild sounds hauntingly like Patsy but better live than my cd's and Charis Leo's comedic spin is brilliant. Amazing script, casting and performances by all!
We're going into our third year of having seasons passes. Every year we say that they can't top the last show that we just saw. Starting this season out with "Always...Patsy Cline", I don't know if they'll be able to top that one. It was one of the best shows we've ever seen. I've bought tickets to see it again next week, and I can't wait.
