About this business

With a wide variety of grill options, our famous Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and the best cocktails in the area, Main Street Grill should be your new lunch and dinner destination. We're available for private parties and live music! Looking out the restaurants' side window on July 19, 1878, one would have witnessed the ambush of outlaw Sam Bass by Texas Ranger deputies. Several months earlier, Bass and his gang had pulled off the first and greatest robbery of a Union Pacific train in Big Springs, Nebraska. Bass died from gunshot wo... read more

Anniversary treat – We spent our 11th year anniversary at the Main Street Grill last night and it was a very pleasurable event. We enjoyed the ambiance, the menu, and the service. The restaurant is very secluded and dark in style and a great atmosphere for an intimate dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful blush wine and crab cakes, and a strawberry based salad for openers. To follow my wife had the scallops, very tender and flavorful, and I had the venison, very rich care of the extremely delicious sauce. Plate presentation was ver... read more

Bon Appetit! – It was a dark and stormy night. Our faces bathed in the warm glow of candlelight, we embarked on a journey to share a memorable feast. There were four of us in our dinner party and our goal was to celebrate the holidays. Never mind that it was after Christmas! We still had plenty of joy to share. We will be talking about our evening at The Main Street Grill for years to come. Yes--it was that wonderful. The atmosphere was quiet elegance. Tables were lit by candlelight. The staff gracious, efficient, and unobtr... read more

Great looking steak, no flavor! – We were very excited about trying out a new restaurant, we were told this would be a very good one. WRONG! To start with, our appetizer was a shrimp and bacon starter. The bacon was under cooked (still pink) and the shrimp were over cooked. Go figure? Salads- In all fairness, our salads were very tasty. My wife selected the house specialty salad and I had the Caesar, both were excellent. Dinner- my wife ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Ribeye. Her salmon was well cooked. However, the sid... read more

Round Rock's romantic dining room offers sophisticated fare in a historic setting. – In Short Main Street Grill anchors anchors historic downtown Round Rock with a classy, upscale vibe. Situated in a former bank building, the space gets warm tones from dark wood columns and soft blue and yellow lights. A long bar in the back provides a great spot to relax. Popular starters include melted Brie and spinach dip served on salty flatbread. Roasted chicken roulade offers rounds of chicken stuffed with vegetables, Parmesan and pine... read more

User review by keepatxweird – My girlfriend and I went for Valentine's day. Since the only offering was a holiday menu, we knew that it would cost more. The service and food starated out great, but as the night went on, both dropped to just average. The wait staff seemed understaffed, as we had to remind our waiter a few times for our dessert silverware. I may try this place again on a non-holiday to sample from their normal menu, but we felt that better value could be found elsewhere.

Mahi Mahi tasted like month-old grill grease. – We had complained to the server that the fish wasnt good. This was purely to let the chef know so he could correct the problem. My wife and I went for the special Valentine's Day menu. She chose the Mahi Mahi as her main course; I chose the Fillet Mignon. Our complaint was that the fish tasted... well... like a dirty grill. There was no fish flavor at all, and though the texture was nice, the flavor was terrible. Additionally, my wife's fish had a large bone in it, my fillet wa... read more

Main Street is as close to perfectin as it gets – Everybody is talking about workouts these days and my favorite workout place, working all your taste muscles, is Main Street Grill. We asked for the special appetizer from Monicas and the Southwestern Beef Tartar. This was followed by a wonderful Beef Tenderloin, prepared perfectly rare, in an amazing Port sauce with a Bearnaise on the side. This mixed with probably the best thinly breaded onion rings and asparagus. A little side of Macaroni and cheese added some playfulness.... read more

Neither fish nor fowl – Described as Round Rock's fine dining venue - it unfortunately hasn't quite realized its full potential. The service is attentive, without being overbearing, the food is generally very good. The ambience lets the overall effect down. Fine dining restaurants do not,in my experience, allow shorts and open toe shoes, nor do they have a "sports bar" at one end of a noisy dining area. Better use of noise dampening wallcoverings would help increase an intimate environment. The pricing is good value, though ... read more

Best Chef! – We've been fans of main street for ever - but the food has really improved lately. I think they have a new head chef. The wine tastings and new menu items are creative, tasty and satisfying.
