RecommendedThe boat ride itself was a lot of fun but the lines to get back on the elevators to go up and exit were very chaotic and unorganized. I would definitely recommend doing the Maid of the Mist but just be prepared to wait in long lines with people cutting in front of you while waiting to exit!!
RecommendedI would go early in the morning the lines in the late afternoon were quite ridiculous. We waited in line over an hour just to get back to the observation deck.

With no warning that the wait is so long, we got to stand in line - in full sun for over 45 minutes (with another hour easily to go before the elevator down to the line to the boat) after 30 minutes in a ticket line. People are leaving on stretchers, kids were doing their best not to pass out, and they're still selling tickets even though they seem to be capacity. We also heard that it was a 50 min wait to get back up from the boat after the ride. 40 bucks wasted. Next time, we're doing this on the Canadian side.
