Recently my fiance had to go in for biopsies, she was very scared and broughte for support. When we finally got back for her procedure the room was too small for me to be there with her so I had to wait outside the room in the hallway. Seems hamot could do better.
I am now, years later, extremely disappointed with the care I received from Magee-Women’s Erie. They are a great hospital for expecting pregnant folks, but if you have pelvic pain or endometriosis issues you should SERIOUSLY consider a different hospital. I had my first laparoscopy here in 2022 with Dr Harvey after the first surgeon I consulted with point blank refused surgery. I had to have a minor surgery recently & I was soooo happy it was scheduled here! I had never been to the women’s hospital before, but I just knew the treatment and care would be outstanding! Everyone was so kind and I was extremely comfortable. All of my questions and concerns were answered right away. It’s nice having professionals who really care!
My fiancé and I both agree that Magees gave us the most OUTSTANDING experience. The nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, house keeping . Everyone was so engaging , kind , I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for me, my baby, or my family.
Tl;Dr: I never had rude staff, fantastic aftercare for my unplanned c-section and newborn, very clean and professional. Prepare that you may need a c-section, this hospital has an above average rate of c-sections for first-time moms with no complications during pregnancy and I believe their practices and routines are to blame.
