They do not answer their telephone. The operater is rude and when she transfers you, it just rings. I gave up twice after listening to it ring for several minutes. When you try to use the online portal, you can't reach out to anyone. It shouldn't be so hard to reach out to a provider. All I wanted to do was reschedule. My PCP referred me here and I may ask for a referral to somewhere else because I am very discontent about my experience with not being able to reach anyone. I gave birth here in 2020 and while i had a somewhat good experience but now that my son has his infusions here on the 5th floor I couldn't speak more highly of the team! The nurses are absolutely amazing especially when my son gets mouthy with them and the Dr's are absolutely amazing!
My mom just had hip replacement surgery. From the time she was brought to Hamot by ambulance to the time she is in recovery at McGee she has had excellent care. From the people mopping the floors to the doctors and nurses, aides , therapists. I am so relaxed knowing my mom is in their care. Her room has a beautiful view and she has been treated wonderfully. I will be praising this hospital in the future. In a world that is lacking in kindness and service this experience has been a welcome blessing. Thank you!! Kelley Wood
Details of my own experience....hah to be frank...it was my most traumatic experience yet in life. (And I've done Psychedelics that caused some pretty terrifying moments...nothing like what I was about to experience.) BUT the absolute angels of nurses and doctors here helped me through every single step of the way!!! I had my gallbladder removed here yesterday on the 3rd floor. I suffer from horrible anxiety and it’s always a struggle to find somewhere to take my blood or get an iv in (shout out to lady who came from the special iv team and got it her first try) I think it was Jenn Williams or Gourley that was my nurse, she couldn’t have been more amazing at her job, she did everything she possibly could to make me comfortable.
