My husband and I went to Magee Rehab to visit a dear friend who has a C3 fracture, and a long road ahead of him. The first thing I always notice in any medical facility is how it smells. It was clean. From the first person we came in contact with, to the staff in the "gym", to posters on the wall, everyone cares. Everyone loves their job. Today they had a local Jazz band in the cafeteria, college age kids. I am not much of a dancer however they were playing some really snappy tunes, I danced with several people many of whom were in wheelchairs, people smile and laugh. Perhaps they were laughing at me, perhaps they were laughing with me, I don't really care for just a few minutes the non-serious side of me had a great time in a room full of people I did not know!
