Below average service, inconsistent food - this place is overrated – I couldn't agree more with the previous person. I've been twice since the new management took over, and while the decor inside might be a little improved, service and food have taken a downturn. Horrible service, avarage food – We went there Friday evening. Took forever to take our order. The water is warm, taste like tap water. I had Indian food before and had home cooked Indian food as well,but this wasn`t that tasty, so wouldn`t say authentic. Have to order rice, otherwise won`t give you any. New Owners. The food is just amazing. Authentic. – The new owners of Saravana Bhavan (who own the original chain in India) have taken over this place. They have upgraded the decor. Both the south indian and north indian food is awesome. You will not find more authentic Indian food anywhere else in Atlanta. Worst service – This is the worst service restaurant which i never seen in india too... the people working here are really damits and bulshits who don't mind about customers... they are really bastards who treat customers harshly and they don't mind about customer satisfaction. Dear guys... pls dnt walk to this restaurants... and they will shame on u... and treat u like a dog.... stupid guys are here..... better go to american hotel to going here.... or any other indian restaurants.... really worst... worst service....
Just an Update – Well its a great place and just not sure what else in town in like this BUT its closed for renovations - twice we have been there - no indication of when it will open or even at least put a decent msg on your phone system so people know not to drive there.
new owners, renovated and looking better, great food (but I miss the old flavor!) – The food is still good, but, it used to be better.. at least, this is my first time back after the LONG renovations.. which took forever... I'll give it another try... the service is still all over the place .. dont go there expecting service - just try and enjoy the food & newly renovated and pretty looking restaurant.
One of the worst places I've been – Was at Decatur today, and happened to spot this "restaurant" First of all - the impression I got was that he was running an "annadhanam". The person incharge of seating was acting as if we had come to get a free lunch. There were a lot of blokes in red shirts running around doing nothing. Lastly the buffet was not upto mark - very few items, not worth it. Usually I dont waste my time writing reviews but today I thought of warning future goers about this lousy place.
Very bad customer service – I never saw such bad customer service in anywhere. I had very bad experiences in this restureant two times. At one time, we clearly told the waiter / order taker, the sequence of delivering the order but they didn't care and delivered as they like. Very very BAD customer service....not recommended...bad experience. – Really BAD Customer Service. I am surprised that this place doesnot care for its customers!!!.
