History: In 1954, Robert graduated from high school and chose to stay on the farm to help his dad. Together they began planting apples and peaches on 15 more acres of ground. They also built an 8000 bushel cold storage to help preserve the quality and freshness of the fruit harvested and sold on the farm and to wholesale outlets. A great autumn experience that the whole family can enjoy! Loved going there, and will be doing it again.
We brought our kids in for a tour and Jackie was just great with them and obviously cares about what she's doing. She may have given that same tour 100 times, but was no less enthusiastic with our group. Everyone on staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. The donuts were good too!
I took my two youngest to the Apple butter festival over the weekend and we had a great time! Loved all the homemade items for sale there, started some Christmas shopping!
OMG this was the first time going there, we took 2 of our grandkids and we all had the best time!! The donuts are the best in the world!!
We love MacQueens! Their Apple Butter stirring festival gets better each year! In addition to great food, lots of very nicely made crafts.
