History: In 1954, Robert graduated from high school and chose to stay on the farm to help his dad. Together they began planting apples and peaches on 15 more acres of ground. They also built an 8000 bushel cold storage to help preserve the quality and freshness of the fruit harvested and sold on the farm and to wholesale outlets. I love to shop for my fall fruits, veggies and treats at Macqueen Orchards.
We have been coming to this orchard for 5-6 years running now. We love love love this place. We stop for fresh cider in the fall every week sometimes multiple times a week. The fresh doughnuts are great also. Also they have a nice Christmas barn that's always a joy to see. We have also tried their fresh vegetables and other fruits they are also amazing.
We stopped by MacQueens and bought lots of goodies. The peaches and sweet corn were wonderful but the apple and maple doughnuts were amazing as well as the apple fritters. We will be going back and soon! Looking forward to some apple cider....
