My visit was wholesome with some un worthy INCIDENT with the staff who did the first and second EYE SCREENING. VERY RUDE and MEAN. I am crying when I was in the 3rd room to see my favorite Dr. MacCumber. The staff on that room are excellent. They calmed me down on the BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD from the staff who did the INITIAL SCREENING. I felt UNCOMFORTABLE and I felt my BLOOD PRESSURE SHOOT UP . I told her be patient with me. I've been seeing Dr. MacCumber since August 2015 when I experienced a retinal detachment. At that time he performed a vitrectomy with scleral buckle which successfully preserved my vision. He's very solid and the entire staff at Illinois Retina Associates are great. I've been to his office over a dozen times since 2015 for followup and monitoring, and I always have a good visit. I recommend Dr. MacCumber and Illinois Retina Associates.

I had PVD and was experiencing a sudden increase in large black floaters with distorted vision one morning about 10 days ago. Dr. MacCumber's office fit me in his schedule and I'm grateful they did because I did have a hemorrhage in my eye and a retinal tear. Dr. MacCumber did laser surgery to repair it while I was there. He and his colleagues have always been responsive when I've called for help. I would highly recommend him and his practice.
