I had a very good experience with the doctor. During the eye exam the doctor also noticed I had some eyelid issues because of eye past eye surgery and he recommended I see a ophthalmic and facial plastic surgeon at Rush and I have done that.

once I got into Dr. MacCumbers office I waited 15 min. before seeing him. To me this isn't something bad as it shows how caring the Dr. is to talk with every patient.
Dr MacCumber was efficient and professional as usual. But the sitting and waiting time was horrendous. They had obviously over booked and had a terrible backlog. Very frustrating. They need to learn that their patient's time has some value too.
This time there was electronic check-in which asked for too much data: addresses, phone nos. of my other doctors. The I pad was annoying to use because of limited choices. To make a correction, you had to backspace, delete all letters to get to one needing correction.

I have been seeing Dr MacCumber for appox 20 yrs thru many ophthalmology issues . I would not trust my eyes to anyone else . I find the office busy but very professional and professional . Dr MacCumber no matter how busy spends the time with me to inquire about how I am , how my vision is and to reassure me as needed . I would recommend him to anyone that asks.
