I've been going to Illinois Retina for several years. Dr. MacCumber always explains my eye conditions thoroughly and takes the time to answer any questions I have. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Supremely professional in all regards!
Dr. MacCumber has treated me with laser, cryo and later a sclerosis buckle for a retinal tear. His initial care and years of superb follow up support the outstanding opinion of him I, all his patients and his academic and student colleagues have. He is the best retinal specialist.

My experience with Dr. MacCumber is alway excellent. He takes all the time needed to not only examine you, but patiently explains what he's found and goes into detail answering any questions that you have. His staff is helpful, professional and caring.

I have a retinal issue that needed immediate attention; and I was referred to this doctor by an ophthalmologist; when I got to the office the doctors receptionist who was amazingly nice told me they didn’t take my insurance but the doctor would still see me. I was told by a friend whose father had procedures done by this doctor that he was phenomenal. Some of the best care I have EVER received. Thank you doctor and your entire staff for being so gracious and helpful at a time I really needed help.
