Dr Canavan listens well and thoroughly. She is very informative and patient with her patients.
Dr. Canavan was my second consult after being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I made my decision almost immediately after meeting her that she was what I needed to get through this. If I could give no stars, I would. Very poor bedside manner, demeaning and condescending in her remarks, and very rushed and preoccupied during visits. She was texting on her phone as my husband was trying to talk to her, which is just unprofessional. After SEVERAL surgeries with her and not getting clear margins for a tiny tumor, I switched surgeons. Thank God! My first surgery with my new doctor was successful. Disappointing. She came highly recommended to me. She appeared angry and exhausted during my appointment. She did not care to get to know me as a patient.
Dr Canavan has horrible bedside manners and is extremely rude. There isn’t a caring bone in her body. She runs patients through like a cattle drive. And for Gods sake don tell her you are hurting, and dont ask a question. You are likely to get the other Dr Canavan. She did 2 breast surgeries on me and I should have left her at hello. Her mannerisms are like no other doctor I have gone to. Her staff is rude and incompetent when I needed a medical device. Run away quick from Canavan - and I usually love all my doctors. Bedside manner is terrible
Dr. Canavan was highly recommended to me by everyone I talked to and I can see why - yes, she is direct and pulls no punches - if you want fluff and flowers - find someone else. I wanted someone who would be real with me and tell me like it is and that is what she did. I had problems but she came in on Thanksgiving day and took care of me - she held my hand and cried with me when I was in pain - this is a person who truly cares! Thank you Dr. Canavan
Today is my 3rd year anniversary of my surgery. There are no words to describe how grateful I am. I hit the jackpot with Dr. Caravan, thank you for everything you and Dr. Lemmon did.
