Always amazed at the breath of his knowledge on new health literature and treatment approaches. Shows genuine interest in my health and takes the time to answer my questions.

Dr. Walsh was okay on my first visit with him. On subsequent visits he was rude and condescending to me!

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your review. At MUSC Health, we strive to provide the highest standards of care for our visitors and take all feedback seriously. You can contact our patient and family liaison office at 843-792-5555 to discuss your experience or visit (http://www.muschealth.org/patients-visitors/contact-us/contact-patient-liaison.html) to complete an online form addressing any concerns you may have.

Dr Walsh was very rude, loud, and talked about my health and test results with the door open. He also made extremely mean, unprofessional comments in my chart, which I could easily access and read online. He didn’t listen to me and talked over me while I answered questions that he asked. I almost left MUSC entirely because of him.

Business response:

I am so sorry you had a bad experience. I must do what I think is medically correct, not what the patient wants when what they desire is medically bad healthcare. Sometimes this means that the patient is unsatisfied as in this case. WE will be happy to forward your records to a new physician.

bad bedside manner, snappy and short, in a hurry to make a decision

I would not recommend this DR. for even my pets. Arrogant, misleading, and absolutely could not care for your health. He is there for the money only and thinks that MUSC is the only place you can go.

The staff are nice enough, however they're very slow to respond. Don't expect to get a response in MyChart within a day or two. Had xrays for a swollen and painful foot early yesterday and promised same day results. Called today and was told the nurse would call with xray results. Still no call so I had the doctor pages to get results and his take on the next steps based on the xray. He stated I needed to make an appt for the following day and hung up before I could even stqte why I needed to talk. Isn't after hours paging f... read more

This was my third visit to Dr Walsh and it will be my last. He was very rude to me and dismissive. I came in with concerns about an increase in Blood pressure and chest pains and he told me I was just getting old and I was stressed out. He told me to meditate more and try yoga. When I tried ask him for further clarification about my health he told me that he was done talking about this topic and shut me down. I was shocked by his behavior and will never go there again.

My father and husband have both left his practice. As stated in many reviews , he is non-responsive , horrible communicator , and just needs slots in his schedule filled. So he will do nothing by phone , he needs his office visits to justify his job......

I have been going to Dr Walsh for several years now! And my diabetes has done nothing but improve since seeing him. I like that he orders blood work and actually keeps up with how I’m doing. I feel like if you are there to help yourself to be better then you should have no problems but he isn’t a doctor that you go to just for a prescription he needs to see you trying to help yourself.
