About this business

This Italian trattoria caters to a young, attractive downtown crowd, but one that appreciates good food as much as a hip scene. Lupa is co-owned by celebrity chef Mario Batali and restaurateur Joe Bastianich, also partners in Esca and Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca. The waiters at Lupa are knowledgeable about the food, and prices are surprisingly moderate. Signature dishes range from home-cured Mortadella to excellent pasta. Umm, this place is so freaking delicious. Roman-style Italian food, great wine list, excellent service. Get the Summer Melon "Panzanella" while its available. Oxtail Ravioli & Spaghetti con Pomodoro!

Had the spinach salad with apple and crispy speck: tasty. Nice service, however, had to ask for seasoning like salt and balsamic because they weren't on the table, and then waited for 5 more minutes

Batali joint. If you want Italian, start here, or at Otto. Made me appreciate tartufo.

Vibrant atmosphere and truly satisfying pastas. Lots of vegetarian options but the cacio e pepe stands out.

Cozy Italian restaurant with homemade pastas and full body vinos. The orecchiette was some of the best I've had yet and the calamari was light and fresh with cucumbers and cantaloupe! 🏼
