We decided to head to Seattle to celebrate the Lunar New Year and we happened to stumble upon an event the museum was putting on. What a gem! This smaller, Asian museum has something for everyone — all ages and cultures. As an educator and writer, I appreciated the care and time the museum put into the event with the scavenger hunt throughout the museum and the crafts. We are so thankful for this treasure in the Pacific Northwest and look forward to visiting over and over.
Cool, small museum. Have great family events geared toward kids. Exhibits are small but unique enough to offer an individual experience worth seeing.

Haven’t been to the Wing Luke Museum in ages, and today I wanted to celebrate Lunar New Year with my son to get a better sense of this part of his heritage. I was impressed by the variety of Asian American history and pop culture showcased. As a UW student decades ago, I got to hear many of these stories first-hand from Betty Luke, Uncle Bob (Santos), and Ron Chew when I volunteered as a docent.
