Housed in the location of the original Good Eats restaurant, Lucky's has made its mark in outstandingly good home cooking. The decor is simple, with red vinyl booths, movie memorabilia and functional tables and chairs. Three of the four walls are glass, so natural light is always abundant. Migas, biscuits and omelet breakfasts draw crowds, especially on weekends. Lunch and dinner entrees include everything from milkshakes to burgers, fish to vegetarian dishes, soups, salads and fruit and it's all wonderful.

If I lived in Dallas and more specifically in the Oakland area I would eat breakfast there every day. Nobody can do grits like the guy at Lucky Café. And the wait staff are always cheerful and engaging.

First timer but won’t be last timer! Ok, so this place is amazing!!!! Not crowded. Friendly, attentive, overall amazing staff!! And the food, ugh, I did not want to stop eating! And let me just say, FULL BAR at 7am, yes please! 🥂🍷🥃🍺🍸🍻🍹🍾 Management came over and was so friendly! Between the manager and our server we really felt like we were friends not just customers!

Best pancakes on planet earth. Best service on planet earth. Perfect portions, incredibly friendly and casual atmosphere in the best part of Dallas. This will definitely be our new brunch place when we come into town! Also, watched a hot dog eating contest with the manager (who is cool af) and felt like family the whole time.
