This is possibly the best food I have had in a long time. The prices are unbeatable, and the quality of food was beyond spectacular. Every staff member was friendly. The Chef came out and said hi, the service staff was on top of everything, and the owner brought us out different items to try that we have never had. To top it all off, the owner interacted the whole time with our children, while keeping a great conversation with us during our visit. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food, oh man, the food. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, and the fried green tomatoes are so good. Not to mention the atmosphere, which is relaxed and super friendly. What a fine establishment, they take really good care of you here. :)
Best collared greens I have EVER had! The Whiting sandwich was devine!
Mediocre at best. Ribs were boiled and baked leaving the meat flavorless with the exception of a cheap store bought bbq sauce. The chicken also had no flavor. Even the collards didn't taste right. And even Wal-Mart makes better fried okra. Overall impression, food wasn't up to par, however I gave 2 stars only because the service was good.
It's just like I went home to have a great dinner or something better to eat.
Great food! Sweet potato fries were wonderful! Mom had veggies and the carrot soufle. Robin had the cubed steak and I had chicken livers!
Best Fried Chicken, Macaroni & Cheese, anywhere... And the Fried Green Tomatoes are the GREATEST on earth!!! VERY Friendly staff and Dr. Loyd is a true gentleman!! I wish there was a higher rating than 5-stars, because Loyd Have Mercy is worthy!!! Love it!!!
