Im disgusted beyond belief. I won't recommend anyone to even pass by this facility which is being administered by weirdos who have no concept of hospitality at all!! I stayed there for 19 days (i was stuck there because of the lockdowns and corona virus issues)!! Someone kept sneaking into my room going through my stuff, using reatrooms and even smoking. The room I was given had a dank, musky smell to it. There are numerous patches on the walls from prior damage. There is extreme water damage to the bathroom doorway, that was poorly repaired. The room was never cleaned; simply new towels and toilet paper daily. The white towels had 'discoloration spots' on almost all of them. The wifi service doesn't work over most of the facility. We were traveling to Florida for a vacation and through ********* located this hotel for an overnight. When we stopped we had a confirmed reservation. The manager seemingly took an almost instant dislike to me and refused to rent us the room. When I called ********* in an effort to resolve any misunderstanding, he lied, telling them he had no rooms available. I picked this hotel because on the internet it looked like the cleanest facility on Sierra highway. Well it does look good online but do t judge a book by its cover. Knights Inn (formerly known as Big Bear Inn) is the most disgusting hotel inside and outside. I stayed in a studio room with 2 queen beds (#316) which was located across the street from their main lodging building. The exterior had paint peeling, wooden slacks hanging off the side, dirty glass windows. Looks like a dump from the outside. Everything was working perfectly but for some reasons you just wanted to change your room on that day. But Unfortunately, We were sold out all those days with 2 queen beds so we asked you that we can change your room but it won't be 2 queens but instead it would be 2 full beds but you refused to do so. The worst hotel we have ever been to. No hot water, old wall heater that was not working properly and dangerous to turn on, dangerous icy steps with no hand rails, paper thin windows and walls, one bed sheet and no blankets (the comforter was scratchy and unclean), broken toilet that we could not use in the morning, very dim lighting in the bathroom, bathroom sink that sprayed water all over if you turn the handle on. Grossly overpriced and should be shut down for major renovations and inspections.
The owner refused to give me a receipt after he charged me $100 for a damaged towel and called me ghetto and I didn't belong there. The damage towel was from the floors in the hotel after I had took a shower I stepped on the towel.
The smell of mold was overwhelming when walking in. We immediately waited out after entering. Do not stay here.
