I received superior customer service from the woman in appliances last Saturday afternoon, Oct 1st. She saw me trying to figure out which dryer cord to buy and correctly recommended a range cord for my older home, saving me much hassle. Wish I could remember her name. Thank you!

Why would Lowes not even consider an employee candidate with over 10 years in retails sales ?
My husband and I purchased several big appliances for delivery. The day we bought them, the associate was so pleasant and even helped us price match with a competitor. We paid with several gift cards, which didn't bother the cashier at all. She was friendly and quick. When an item for delivery arrived damaged, they provided us the option of taking a discount or replacement. Very happy with the customer service at this store and would definitely shop again!
I'm visiting friends in Clarksburg and stepped into the store a few times in the last couple of days. I worked at Lowe's in another state for a number of years and noticed something at this store that wouldn't have been tolerated there at all. It didn't impact the quality of my visits much, as I got what I needed. But while I was shopping, an associate nearly ran into me paying more attention to a cell phone and not where he was walking. Not at all happy with Lowes for the first time ever! They messed up a Special Order of ours, and now, the two "wrong" doors have sat in our garage for ten days, waiting to be picked up! Lowes drives a truck right by our area every day, but now, due to our vacation, they won't pick up till August 11. The whole order got lost, then messed up, and again, messed up....and now, it will be September for installation of something that began in May.
