Love the store but since they've gotten rid of most of the full-time employees (who actually knew what they're talking about) and opted for mainly part-time employees who (for the most part) are there to fill a position only without knowing anything about what they're doing, shopping here has become more and more frustrating and annoying.
Went to Lowe's Clarksburg this morning with an annoyingly weird plumbing issue. Store associate Andrea assisted us with tracking down the problem and solutions. She took her time to go above and beyond to diagnose the problem on their display model faucets and track down an appropriate tool to fix it. Rare to get that kind of service in a "big box" store. Now....the only downside trying to get in touch with a manager, any manager to compliment Andrea was futile.
Went to pick up a new hot water tank as our father in law lost him in the flood. Shelves were pretty bare from the large amount of people purchasing them after loosing them in the flood. Asked if there was a natural disaster discount and was told they weren't authorized to do that. I think it's pretty petty considering so many people have lost everything and lowes doesn't give any discounts!
I've always had a good shopping experience at Lowe's. I stop in quite often. I just recently learned that you can take your pets into the store with you. I took Bella and she made several new friends. I bought more than I intended to and the cashier in the garden department was so helpful making sure I got my purchases to my car as I had Bella and it was a bit difficult to handle both.
Cashier Emily was the nicest employee we have ever met at your store! Make her employee of the week.
