I prefer Home Depot over Lowe’s for the sole purpose of customer service. I don’t know if HD pays better or provides better employee packages but Lowe’s employees are seldom professional or make any effort to help you. This has been consistent over the last five years and over the Clackamas, Tigard, and Keizer stores. Our most recent was online order that is supposed to make the process simple. Stopped by to purchase some picnic tables. 4-5 associates failed to guide me to the right aisle as they were hanging out and chatting at the main door. not to mention another associate being sarcastic when I shared my negative experience. Of course, I left the store shortly after getting lost in the huge garden section. Called to talk to the store manager, but the phone operator said he is gone and no one in the store has access to his schedule. Going back to Home Depot.
Awful customer service! Bought a dryer Saturday (3 days ago) and it already doesnt work. I called asking if hey would deliver a new one and take the one that doesn’t work but since we didn’t get it delivered they cant do that even though its free delivery for appliances over 398 dollars! It was 470! I don’t think we should have to keep going back and fourth for a product they sold that was defective. Dryers aren’t light by any means! Was refused a military discount, and a price match and employee refused to get a manager!
By far the worst customer service of any building supply box store anywhere. Bad attitudes, employees are NOT looking for customers to help....they are too busy hiding or yacking with each other. Last time I was in, I looked 20 mins for 2 items which I never found. I asked for help at the front customer "no" service counter and got several different locations where they MIGHT be found.
