This quiet, elegant restaurant boasts an African mahogany bar, wrought iron fixtures and handsome chandeliers. Here, the chef offers a seamless blend of Creole and French creations. Blackened meats, such as the Blackened Buffalo Delmonico, are a specialty. Not in the mood for steak? Try the succulent Shrimp-and-Corn Gumbo. Served with rice and broccolini, it may be the best dish on the menu. The restaurant also offers great service, a fine wine list and incredible desserts.

Service Sucked big time, Food was good – Food was really good and decor was great, but for the very same reason as below review, the waiter being a rump, we would never go back!!! Howard, our server, was indeed the pretentious, obnoxious rump that the previous review was complaining about. He was sarcastic, obnoxious, and an idiot that obviously had his head flushed down the toilet too many times in high school. When asked which salad he prefers, he made comments like, If you don't like endives, you will not like our endive ... read more
server was so rude, we left – I really wanted to try the food at Louisiana, but unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to try it. There was one server (Howard, try to avoid him) working that night, and he was pretentious and made us feel awkward from the moment we walked in the door. We ordered a bottle of wine, and he asked for our IDs. I'm 24 and my boyfriend is 28, but I didn't bring anything with me, so I didn't have my ID. He told us he wouldn't serve us because, in his words, I look like I'm 12. I was so offended, we... read more
Worst Service in Baltimore – With four star prices, you would expect four star service. Unfortunately, at Louisiana this is not their priority. This is by far the worst service I have received in Baltimore. Yes, it was Valentine's Day, I gave them leniency. But, when you order a $100 bottle of wine and it take the server at least 20 minutes to bring it to your table there is a problem. Our server was rude, and dishonest. We had a $25 gift certificate, for which he ignored and charged us the full amount and played stupid when... read more
Worth every bucks. – Really like the atmosphere, very romantic and elegant. Food was excellent, we had black angus filet mignon and slow cooked duck, it was very tender. We didn't have any problem like the other reviewer. Staff was very professinal. Overall we've enjoyed every moment and we would like to go there again.
Disappointed Diners – My husband and I dined at Louisiana this past weekend, it was our first and only visit. When we arrived we were greeted by a smug host. From there we were promptly seated. We started w/ a bottle of wine, it was delicious. The wine list is slightly more extensive than average for what you typically find in Baltimore. However, the wines by the glass did not provide you w/ any information other than the type of wine they were offering (ie ? Cab Sav, Pinot Noir) We ordered a salad and appetizer to share and... read more
Loved it – I loved the elegant feel of the place. The food was delightful; everyone enjoyed their food. A little pricey, but totally worth it. Romantic atmosphere, beautiful table settings, and a great waiter staff to make you feel like a million bucks!!
truly the best restaurant in Baltimore – I have been in this elegant restaurant and It was the best experience that I've ever had. The hostess and server were great and very proffesional and the food was amazing. i order Duck with cranberry sauce it was great. while eating the owner stopped by and ask about our food , me and my wife were amazed by the hospitality. we will definatly suggest our friends to go over to Louisiana and have great food and great time enjoy their evening while they have live piano player every night.
Simply Elegant!! – I was shocked when I entered this sophisticated place, outside It is just busy, regular street but with one step you are in another world! I loved everything about this place style, the staff who works there, food which is delicious. Servers who worked there were very professional I had my order on time and they were very productive. I loved the full menu and also wine list was spectacular.. I can recommend this beautiful, romantic place to everyone.
Upscale atmosphere! – One of Baltimore's Best!!! Absolutely the best service. Truly romantic atmosphere and terrific food. If your date deserves nothing but the best, this is the place to go.
