Dr. Toma recently replaced my left hip. I previously had my right hip replaced by another Dr. I am so grateful to Dr. Toma as not only did he even out the lengths of my legs (which have been slightly off all my life but made worse after my first replacement from the other Dr) but the recovery was so much easier even though my muscles were stretched. His staff was also very professional. I highly recommend Dr Toma.
He has a very reassuring approach very confident and encourages you to continue to do your best very kind takes time to speak with you. I never feel rushed
I had right hip replacement 2/28 at 7:30 am. I am 74. I was walking with a walker at noon on the day of surgery. No significant pain in the hospital and I never had to take a pain pill when I was released on the 29th. If I didn't have an incision I wouldn't be sure the hip was replaced? Dr Toma is a miracle man. I can go 30 minutes on the treadmill 20 days after surgery with no pain. Amazing!
Dr Toma has been not only very professional but also caring and available when I needed him. In addition to his excellent clinical skills, Dr. Toma made my surgery experience less stressful. Now, I can walk straight and I look forward for a more active future.

I have had both hip replacement surgeries done by Dr. Toma. He has a warm and friendly approach to his patients that is very reassuring. He is a leader in the field of anterior hip replacement and he and his staff have been very thorough with pre-op and post-op follow-up.
Dr. Toma performed total hip replacement on my right hip and I am happy to provide my 5-star rating. The administrative aspects of setting up the surgery through John Muir was occasionally bumpy, but, once I arrived for the actual surgery, the process went very smoothly. Dr. Toma did his artistry in about 65 minutes and 12 weeks later I am swimming, biking and running as I did before my hip started hurting me. Now, I don't have hip pain and instead I fuss with my shoulder, knee . . . :)
