STOP BLAIMING THE VET FOCUS PPL I have gone to dr havoc for over 20 yrs. Yes the place gets busy- but its due to his prices and begin a good vet. Now do not start whining because you had to wait. Great Care, Great Staff Long Lake Animal Hospital has a wonderful staff who offer excellent care. The wait is a little long, but not much more than if you were going to any other vet. The prices are very competitive with other vets. The waiting room is adequate size. We had absolutely no problems with the quality of care our animals receive, and the courtesy of the staff and other animal owners in the waiting area. I highly recommend Long Lake Animal Hospital. No ego stroking - but skilled care Okay -- Just finished reading the reviews for Long Lake Animal Hosp. and wanted to add mine. Two years ago Dr. Havas did a pretty big deal surgery (torn ACL ligament) on our Maltese mix dog. He did a skillful job, my dog recovered completely, and the cost was 1/3 what other vets would have charged (I called around for prices). Long Lake Cares I have had the doctors and staff take care of my 2 cats for over a year. They work well with each other, are caring and are not trying to impress people with a fancy office or gimmicky items. When one cat had to be put down, they were kind, compassionate and as good to her as they were considerate of me. They are very reasonably priced and completely trustworthy. I could go to several vets closer to home, but Dr. Havas and staff will always be my pet caregivers.
This is where i take my babies! I had to smile when i read one of the reviews below that mentioned the outdated decor and the demeanor of Dr. Havas at times. If you want a fancy updated office and a calm atmosphere where you and your pet feel super special like the only ones who deserve attention, this is not the place for you. Reasonable prices and solid vet care Although the physical facility is dated, the quality of care from both Dr. Havas, and His staff, is quite good. Prices are well below the norm, thus there is usually a wait.Previous reviewer is correct, Dr. Havas is truly an animal lover, you can see and sense it in the way many of the animals respond to Him. Love These Guys I have been taking my cats and a dog there since my neighbor told me about Dr. Havas a few years back. I love these people. I cannot even imagine why someone would care about the decor of the place. What a bunch of idiots that complained about that in their review. There is a vet on 14 Mile between Ryan & Dequindre - the office is GEOURGEOUS - his fees are double Dr. Havas, but you should go there. My guys Ben, Bud, Milo & Ollie are very happy with the wonderful care they get too!
Miss We tried 3 or 4 vets when we first moved here 13 years ago. And have been seeing Dr. Hartnett for 12. He and his employees are Amazing!! My only concern is that he may retire someday.
Good if you have time The costs of different procedures and treatments are very reasonable. In fact, they are relatively inexpensive when compared to other vets. It is a small business, and the staff is very caring. The only issue is that since it's so small, the wait is very long. If you can stand waiting that long though, it's well worth it.
