quit eating here about 2 years ago went back today and not impressed again service was not bad food wasn't worth what we paid for it I think we are done again still baffled how this place is still open we waited and waited on the texas rose waiter came out said ticket jammed in printer when we got it it wasn't even eatable onion was uncooked batter still raw in the middle they took it off bill steak was like eating a hamburger
Staff were very friendly. The sever was helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. I had to send my steak back, they brought back the same steak, which I had the sever take my meal back and get a new meal. The cook sent out a steak 1/2 the size. The server stated, that's a small steak, which I then requested the manager. He was very surprised at the steak. He said all the right things and did take care of it. After all that, my meal was very good.
The place was dirty, the floors and tables were sticky. Service was slow. The steak was more like chopped steak with grissal. Will not go back. It was our first and last time I wanted a good steak, this is not the place for that.
It was very good this time. I could tell there was new management!
We have eaten at the Lone Star in Effingham very often & the last 2 times we can tell the decline in the food & customers. Last evening Sept 16,2017 we ate our usual salad w/ranch baked potato & ribeye. Both my husband & I got very ill about midnight with my husband being the worst. I am sure we had food poisoning. All the help is new since the changing of management. Not sure if help washed hands or salad dressing was bad or bad steak. This I know we ate our last there. I think the doors will be closed soon.
Very satisfied with both the service and the food.
Had a small issue w/my steak. Waitress took it back to be fixed. Manager had a major attitude. New steak didn't come out until after my family finished their dinner. I won't be back
Food and service were great! Place looked clean. I would recommend this place, wish I lived closer.
Good grub good waitress loved it will be back for sure
