This tiny but cozy restaurant serves up excellent fare to those who call ahead for reservations. Dismiss the size of the place and focus instead on what the kitchen turns out: fresh pastas, gnocchi from heaven and a lobster ravioli that's as close to perfection as you're likely to get. The stone floors and packed tables can make the place rather loud but once the food arrives you won't want to talk anyway.

Amazing birthday experience! – My boyfriend and I sat outside on the patio for my birthday and it was amazing. We had a delicious salad to start with treviso radicchio and shaved parmesan. I had linguine with clams and lobster in a light slightly spicy tomato sauce and he had veal "pizzaiola" with tomato sauce and burrata cheese. We absolutely cleaned our plates. Then for dessert there was this tasting option with three individual round desserts each with its own different sauce. The waiter was so gracious and well informed.... read more
Always a winner! – My husband and I have been there at least 20 times over the last few years. It's now our Italian restaurant of choice and refuse to change. ALL meals we've had, have been excellent and all wine selections are the perfect complement to the meal.
Nice Evening – Went here last week with my girlfriends for dinner....although they were out of every "special" I wanted that night - I really enjoyed what I did get, some kind of pasta with mushrooms... I will agree with the last person that service was attentive but not intrusive. We sat there for A LONG time and the place was packed (surprising for a wednesday night) and we never got evil looks...I would go back for sure.
A great find – The food was delicious, well-prepared and filling. The service was just right - attentive but not intrusive. Slightly on the pricy side, but well worth it.
It's almost perfect – Restaurants in L.A. tend to open with a flurry, become trendy and then fade to black within a year or two. It's good to see one stand the test of time, without feeling you're dining a decade ago when you step inside. Great care is taken in the kitchen to provide tasty, authentic flavors. The service is professional & atmosphere is romantic, quiet. If you're a wine lover, then bring your own, as their list is very small and our waiter's knowledge of them, even smaller. If they're doing the fresh grilled ... read more
Best Italian restaurant outside Italy – As a connoisseur of fine foods (due to my lack of knowledge of how to cook), I have been to many restaurants. Locanda Veneta is my absolute favorite restaurant! Everything tastes wonderful. The service is great, the waitresses are personable, and chefs are unsurpassed. If you can only go to one restaurant, go to Locanda Veneta!
Undesirable blind date but.... – I can't think of any place I'd rather dine AGAIN. It's romantic/quaint, yet very high energy and busy all at the same time. The romantic setting, super sexy waiters, and memorable food & wine were absolutely amazing! It's the BEST Italian food (worth every penny) I've ever had and I will continue to dine there, just with a different date. He was a bore. ***Antonio, the brilliant chef..."I love you!" Great Italian – Really good Italian food in a nice setting. I like going here with my wife for a nice romantic Italian dinner.
