Dismiss the size of the place and focus instead on what the kitchen turns out: fresh pastas, gnocchi from heaven and a lobster ravioli that's as close to perfection as you're likely to get. The stone floors and packed tables can make the place rather loud but once the food arrives you won't want to talk anyway.

Great Italian Food & Service – It has been a while since I came to this restaurant but I am pleased to report that the food and service remain consistently good. The food is authentic Italian and reminds me of my trip to Italy a few years back - fresh ingredients, simple preparation. Delicious – We got there early, but the place filled up pretty quickly - so reservations would definitely be a good idea. The food was delicious, and the service was great. I ordered the lamb, but a friend ordered a steak with white truffle cream sauce that was AMAZING. I'm not sure if that's always on the menu, or if was a special, but we haven't stopped talking about that sauce. Definitely recommend.
Best Pasta – The food was awesome as both my girlfriend and I had Pasta dishes. Is one of the best tasting Italian food we have had. We have been to few other well-known Italian restaurants around L.A. and O.C. but this is one of the best. Resturant is small & seating is very tight. I would definitely recommend making reservations if you are going for Friday or Saturday. The portion, in my opinion, is small but if you are a light eater it might be enough. Always Great!! Not for penny pinchers – I was introduced to Locanda by a friend about a year ago, since then it has now become one of my favorite places. Avoid. – Locanda Veneta was referred to me by a friend who has impeccable taste in food, wine, and the finer things. He recommended Locanda Veneta as a great romantic dinner spot with excellent food and a superior wine list. See celebrities by candlelight at this Northern Italian restaurant. – The Scene Well-known as a star-spotting scene, this place actually delivers, even if some of the beautiful crowd may only be soap stars. One of the best Italian restaurants in L.A. – Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. They overcooked my friends filet mignon at first, and after we sent it back, they have replaced the steak with New York steakwe suspected it was not the filet mignon because the cut and the tenderness. Yum – Good service, great wine (try the Poppy Pinot Noir), great food. My bf and I ordered a Caprese to start...the server also gave us a special balsamic on the side and it was one of the best balsamic vinegars I had ever had...sweet and syrupy...high quality.
