Dr Hey is a fantastic skilled surgeon with a compassionate and spiritual mind and heart. I have been a patient for over 15 years and no matter where life takes me I will only have this magnificent gifted individual to operate on me. Thank God for Dr Hey.
Dr. Hey did a T4-S1 spinal fusion with instrumentation to the iliac wing in 2013, a very successful surgery that eliminated 100% of my pre-surgical pain. He will do my first revision surgery in August. There are 2 things that make a major surgery easier to go through as well as maximize your outcome. The amount of skill your surgeon possesses & your ability to trust him. Dr. Hey's skill is world-renowned and his openness, accessibility, honesty & humanness allay your fears. You can do no better
Excellent service from the staff from my first contact by phone until I walked out after my first visit with an appointment to see another Doctor which was set by Dr. Hey while consulting with him during my examination. Dr. Hey was highly recommended and my research confirmed why. At 64 years old, I can honestly say that he and his staff at Hey Clinic are the most professional, helpful, and knowledgeable that I have ever experienced. Do your research and call Hey Clinic.
After two spinal surgeries, went to see Dr. Hey for a second opinion. From top to bottom, his staff was impressive. However, Dr. Hey's demeanor, analysis, and plan of action, convinced me that he was the man for my next spinal fusion. During long term recovery, his PA's were very responsive to my needs. I would recommend Dr. Hey and his practice to anyone having spinal issues!
First Visit - very information. Procedure explained very clearly - Excellent staff - Very Impressed Second Encounter was surgery @ Duke-Raleigh Hospital. Again, the staff was excellent. Dr. Hey came by before surgery to again to explain the procedure and answer any concerns or questions. After surgery, Dr. Hey again talked with family about the entire procedure and even had pictures showing what had been done. Very please with the entire process and would strongly recommend Dr. Hey.
Dr. Hey and his staff have provided excellent care during this major spine correction process. Not easy for a senior citizen, and I appreciate their compassion and expertise!

DCouldn't have asked for a better any surgeon. I found Dr Hey after researching the net for months to find the best revision adult scoliosis in the country. I read about his background, reviews and everything else before I decided to have my 4th revision surgery witn him. Since the surgery with Dr Hey in 2005 until last year, I lived an active life that I never thought I would. I did Zumba,and ran marathons in my fifties and now sixties.
Absolutely grateful for the surgical aid! I had reached a point where daily I experienced pain. Sometimes simply annoying, sometimes agony, most of the time somewhere in between and not how you would want to spend your life. I cannot express how happy and thankful I am!
