Eat there every chance I get. Ate there today. Those beef tips and noodles were great. They have some of the best catfish in town.

Look up soul food in the dictionary and a picture of Liz's Kitchen better be there. It's just what I needed. Great food and friendly service. It was my first time there, but I will be back. May 6, 2017 Update: still my favorite restaurant in the Nashville area. If I could give it 10 stars for the food and friendly customer service, I would. Today, I tried the banana pudding for the first time. It left me speechless for a moment it was so good. I live 2 hours away, but I try my best to get to Liz’s as often as possible. we ate at liz's for dinner on friday evening, and that was without a doubt some of the best catfish i have ever had! it was crunchy brown, tender, and hot. the portions were huge, the coffee was fresh, the service was great, and the atmosphere was pure tennessee. i had leftovers for lunch today! we will most certainly be back.
