Give Ruidoso its horses back! One womans opinion is not the end all be all when deciding these animals fate! Shame on your organization for cowing to a woman that used dishonarable means of capturing (i.e. baiting and luring) these horses into her enclosures so she can send them off to slaughter! These animals are a treasured part of Ruidoso's community and were here long before that woman ever decided to (dis)grace us with her presence. What you all have done is an abomination.

You have dead bulls in pastures off Hwy 70 for months yet you rush to assist a woman in removing a peaceful herd of wild horses from an area where they have lived for over 20 years? Detaining or trapping wildlife without a license is a crime.

After seeing the discovery of the physical abuse and horrific images of what is going on at New Mexico dairy farms I will never support any farm or factory inspected by you. I am disgusted that no one in your office is doing anything about this issue.

The NMLB is good on some things but bad on others. After several years, we are still waiting on the NMLB to shut down an illegal equine rescue, as required by existing state law. The NMLB knows of this illegal rescue and they are not doing anything about them.

Very disappointed in how the NM Livestock Board handled the case of the abused horse in Portales; sad outcome for the innocent horse.

I am also posting with an inquiry about the starving horse that was attacked by dogs. People rallied to get that horse to a place where she would be fed and get vet care. Very distressing to hear that a horse under that much stress was relocated by NMLB just days later. I hope you can assure us that she is getting medical care, is in a situation where she can feed properly (not competing with healthy horses) and that she is being fed with a diet appropriate to a horse recovering from starvation. Please let us know. There are... read more
