Sorry guys but I believe you all do good jobs , but you really failed the people and there right to vote on wether or not these horses should stay or go . You went off of one persons personal issue with these horses . The lady should have built a fence to keep them out . The people here love those horses , bring them back . Next time you want to take things into your own hands , put it to a vote first .

The wild horses of the Ruidoso area are loved by so many people. Based on complaints from one person, they have been taken, and as much I personally would love them to be returned to the public lands they have lived on for more than 30 years. I am aware that is likely not the case. The New Mexico Livestock Board does a lot of good, but I disagree in that taking these horses was for the right reason. The roads are well marked for WILD horses in the area. Truly, these animals are in trouble now more than ever before, you say p... read more

Hauling off mares and babies from the alto wild horses is grotesquely wrong. Return them to their home.

They steal horses that are wild, for profit, these horses don't belong to you, put them back, they aren't yours, they are ours to ALL enjoy. You all whom are involved should be ashamed of yourselves. What happened to the Land of the Free..you disgust me.

Wild ponies need to be released back where they belong. This is beyond absurd :-/

Bring Alto's wild horses back. Our community loves having them here. It is horrible how one person got to decide the fate of the herd. These horses are less of an issue than the deer or elk on the road. Are y'all going to round all of them up as well?? Please bring them back and help us protect them.

The horses were not a nuisance to the Ruidoso area to most. The locals of this community should have had a voice in your decision to haul them off to auction.
