I first went to LCMH Emergency Room on Thursday, January 26th. I waited approximately 11 hrs before seeing a dr. I arrived at 11:30am. I was in a lot of pain, tired and irritable. They ran a series of tests and decided to keep me. However. I didn't get a room until after 1am on Friday morning. Although extremely slow in attending to patients, the service from the staff was impeccable. I was very impressed with the sincerity of care. Six weeks ago, Dr. Khalid Yousuf replaced my hip at LCMH. From the initial evaluation, to total joint class and pre op testing, to the surgery, post op and PT, I could not be more pleased. The staff was professional and caring, making sure that not only were my needs met, but also those of my family. First I would like to say I have had three major surgery's at the hospital. Never up to this point have I had a problem. Clean and the staff was great. There will always be a bad apple in the orchard. But if we don't report our problems they can't be fixed. Now on to ER staff. Was not doing well today and my PC was not in the office. Told her staff what was going on and they recommended I go to Urgent Care. Went and had blood tested and urine tested. Numbers off a lot so told to go to ER. Lets not forget CT no dye. I wouldn't take my dog here for care. They have screwed 3 pp in my family. Incompetent staff... Make the drive and go somewhere else. Just because it's close doesn't make it an option.

Used to love LCMH but over past year my opinions have changed. First of all many drs have left LCMH with that being said we have lost trust. In past few mths I've been in ER with different family members- waited over 4-5hrs, very dirty, had to ask Dr to come back & talk to us. Last night we went oak lawn care station with my 6yr crying her belly hurt, fever, sore throats only for dr say followup w PCP if she gets worst. Complete waste of a visit!! I will be second thinking & looking into switching insurance plans.

I went in the er, and had to wait 9 hours, at 4:30pm hours they took blood and sent me back to waiting room, an hour later I did per test, then back to waiting room, then at 8:45pm I asked again how long before I might be seen, rn at desk said they are cleaning a room,I'm next, at 9:45 they sent me in back, I waited till 10pm and the nurse came back, did get things moving, dr came in and the admitted me , this was the worst experience here I've ever had, I have used them in the past, no more.
