About this business
Our mission: To develop an awareness and appreciation of our natural world through conservation and education. The Lime Creek Nature Center opened in 1984 as a conservation education facility serving North Iowa. It was funded exclusively by donations from private citizens, businesses, organizations, and foundations. The nature center programs are not tax funded, we rely on memberships and donations to continue our mission.

Lime Creek is a hidden little gem which is often overlooked. Paved trails and Smart trails which use cell phones to teach about nature are much appreciated. Equestrians parking and trails! Wish more people realized what we have right in our backyard.
