Had my blood taken at the Adelaide centre today by Rick and he was fantastic! Great conversation and very gentle and professional with the needle. The centre offers a great selection of food and drinks for volunteers after their donation. This was my 5th donation here and it's always a great experience. Thanks Adelaide city team
I went in again today for another plasma donation. It's nice knowing that what I do is helping someone out there. The staff are always very friendly. It's to sit back afterwards and enjoy a small snack and a drink. Please go into any donor centre and volunteer a short amount of your time to help so many others you'll never know.
I go in fortnightly to donate plasma. I just cracked 225 donations, that was a great feeling knowing I'm helping so many people in our society, and will never meet them. Well first blood donation great. Second was a Plasma donation admittedly not so great ended up fainting for a bit no staff were there nearby when I did try to call for help and no call button within reach. Went numb and briefly lost consciousness told the staff after and I got a calcium tablet after because my lips were still tingling by that point overall kinda a scary experience now looking back debating on whether I want to donate plasma again I think I'll stick to blood. Always the nicest people there. It was my 11th donation there the last time. And every time they were very friendly and accommodating. Also the snacks are a plus of course.
