Let me tell you about a salesman named Joe Straub, and what an unprofessional, rude, and arrogant person he is. when I walked in the door a salesman looked at me- which at first may think is someone who has something medically wrong with him, or is not all there mentally due to no smile on his face at all, and all the personality of a block of wood. CROOKS! Avoid this “business” at all cost. This is by far the most shady car dealership I have ever encountered. When they are caught being unethical they become very dismissive and rude. Ted Layfield does not care about the integrity of the business and really needs some lessons is customer service. The shady business probably all starts with him. I came into The Lexus Of Birmingham to look at a vehicle the day before purchasing, and actually started the buying process for the car. The salesman told me the car had been on the lot for 3 weeks and was currently available. I told them that I would have the funds available and would be ready to purchase the following day. I then set an 9am. appointment in the morning for the following day to come in and purchase the car. Their used car prices don't reflect what they advertise. I was going to buy a Telluride from them and the internet price was $36,966. Then when I talked to them about the price if I came and got it, it was all of a sudden 38,269.50. Initially the salesman said it was for the interior and paint protection and then later it was dealership fees. They are dishonest about things. I would not recommend doing business with them.
I never recommend any family or any friends to this dealership. I did have bad experience about this one. The sellers is not nice. The service is terrible..
Horrible customer service, I brought a brand new es 350 sport 1 month later the car can’t start, toll to the dealership they replaced new battery on, 3 weeks later, it not work again. This is not acceptable with a brand new car when I have to put big amount out of my pocket. When I come to the dealership to talk about the issue, both the service and the sales don’t want to accept their mistake, but they keep make me go back and forth between the sale and the service about my issue. It’s always a nightmare bringing my car here so I stopped for routine maintenance. But there was a recall so here I am. They have the most inefficient intake process I’ve ever seen. 25 mins after my appointment time I was finally called to the office of a service advisor (Sharon) where she couldn’t find any info on my appointment or my car, even though they had my VIN, I had an email and text confirming the appointment and I’d brought my car there for several services in the past.
