we have had 2 rescues and both were an example of learning the animals learned from their friends and coworkers..both are gone..shadow after 11 yrs and just recently dexter whom we adopted about 3-4 weeks ago..on saturday..he got out of the yard and was involved in a car accident..we are still pointing fingers who is at fault..we had hoped he would become our son's companion/service animal..he would have been great..he got along well with all 2 or 4 legged friends and even our 4 yr old granddaughter..my neighbor told there h... read more

Love this shelter, and prices are very low. You can tell, they just want to find good homes so the animals will have a second chance of a family and life.

We were just adopted by "Tux" (previously "Pharrell"). I grew up in the dog kennel business, raising, showing, and caring for others pets, and I can tell you, these experts do awesome things with the animals that come to visit! Tux's transition into our home has been nothing but fun and simple. Our cat can even sense that he's okay. Highly recommend finding your new family member at LC Animal Shelter.
