Grandmother was brought to the ER by ambulance with flank pain, chills vomiting and had fell. Has history of kidney stones with stage 3 kidney disease and diabetes. They did a CT scan and he came back in to say he saw nothing and no reason to admit her to hospital. She had a stone stuck in same kidney previously last year that caused kidney to burst and she insisted this was a similar pain. My mom was brought to the emergency room by ambulance from her doctors office. Dr Brody said, “I don’t know why her doctor thought she needed to be admitted” I said, “she has heart failure, kidney failure, a dangerously low blood pressure and dangerously low iron count.” He said, well her bp looks pretty good, I said, but it keeps dropping. Her bp was so low at that time, they would not let her go to the bathroom. She had to use a portable toilet. He said he’d go talk to a hospitalist. We never saw him again, (good).
