THE STORY OF LENNY’S: Family Owned and Operated for over 40 Years ​My father, Joseph DeCandia, was born in Bari, Italy and came to America in 1956 at the age of 18. He took odd jobs as a dishwasher, a baker and a butcher. In 1958 he took a job at “Lenny’s Pizza” in Brooklyn on 86th Street where he started to learn the pizza business. We were at Lenny's for a graduation party yesterday. The food, portions, service and view were excellent. It was my family's first experience at Lenny's and we are now huge fans.

If I could've given no stars I would have. At 11:30 this am I called to make a reservation for 9 people at 3pm. I was told by the young lady that no reservation is needed. We were celebrating my aunt 95th birthday. Family was driving in from NJ with another 94-year old woman. I valet park the car go in to the restaurant and was told by Gabe the manager it was a 2 hour wait and that I should've made a reservation. I told him of my call in the am and my circumstances but he couldn't care less. He had a room full of empty table... read more
