Dr. Lawrence graduated from the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1956. He completed three residencies at the Mayo Clinic, including internal medicine, general surgery and ophthalmology in 1967. He has his postdoctoral Master of Science in Ophthalmology. Since that time, he has been in private practice in Chattanooga. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Erlanger through UT College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. He is married with five grown children.
