There's no getting around it; when you have a hemorrhoid problem that won't go away finding a competent doctor is job one. I found that in Dr. Lawrence Stern of Fairfax Colon Rectal Surgery. I saw him today and he quickly gave me my two options and I chose the surgical way to go. He took care of my problem in a couple of minutes and I was soon on my way. I'd say that Dr. Stern is the best choice that I could have found and he could be yours.
Dr. Stern is very thorough, reassuring, and accessible. He explained options thoroughly, I did not feel like I was being rushed, and he has a good sense of humor. If I needed another procedure or if I were to refer a friend for a similar procedure, it would definitely be to Dr. Stern.
Dr. Stern resolved my hemorrhoid issue that I had been dealing with for many many years. He is very knowledgeable, great communication skills, and actually takes the time to listen to your history/medical issues. Unlike a previous Dr. who recommended surgery, Dr Stern recommended "banding" and I went with his expert judgement. It took just one "banding" and all my issues have been resolved!! I can't thank Dr. Stern enough for correcting the issue I had been dealing with for years!
An example of Dr. Stern's knowledge and ability was shown to me on my first visit on 16 Jun 2016, I had a problem with a protruding hemorrhoid that I was told had to be removed surgically by my former proctologist who tried 4 different times to band it. After being examined by Dr. Stern, he decided the hemorrhoid could easily be banded which he accomplished in less than 2 minutes. I am now one happy person and would like to see Dr. Stern recognized and rewarded by the Inova group.
Excellent care of my teenager with Crohn's Disease! Complicated abscess and fistulas. Very positive outcome after surgery and a happy normal teen!
